AI (Artificial Intelligence), ML (Machine Learning) and Digital Twins are currently the central topics in software development.

Lauterbach Verfahrenstechnik GmbH is working with partners from research and industry on a project to optimize manufacturing processes using software technology based on digital twins combined with machine learning. In 2022, the project basis was created for this.

We are pleased to having received the approval for project funding (ZIM – project) at the end of 2022, so that we can now implement the project. The scope of this project is that the developed technology can be applied to a variety of other processes and manufacturing techniques.

In parallel, the ML technology will also be used in our Design Atlas 10 calculation software. This will enable fundamentally new functionalities.

Target features / applications for Design Atlas 10:

  • The system can perform an analysis of the calculation and thus show optimization potential within the calculation as well as point out discrepancies or deviations so that an additional calculation check is available for the user.
  • It will also be possible for calculation cases to be significantly accelerated by process automation. The system will build up the calculation process to minimize inputs and shorten the required calculation.
