LOBO module
In industrial filters or packed columns, support plates are used for the corresponding filter medium or for the packing. These are usually highly perforated flat plates that can be fitted with support feet or anchors depending on their diameter. In addition to the pure weight load of the packing, these trays are additionally loaded by an overpressure resulting from the pressure loss. A corresponding calculation method is not offered in regulations such as AD, TRD or ASME, but can be derived from the calculation methods published there.
The LOBO module calculates the required plate thickness of highly perforated even plates, which may be regularly and irregularly supported by feet or anchors. The calculation method is mainly derived from the AD Merkblatt B5 .
