CO2 module

The use of inert gases or inert heat transfer media is required in numerous process engineering plants. Carbon dioxide is often used because of its availability and favourable operating conditions.

The program determines the properties of carbon dioxide depending on temperature and pressure. The vapour pressure, the saturation temperature and the required material properties for the determined aggregate state are defined.

  • Specific enthalpy
  • specific enthropy
  • Compressibility factor
  • Density
  • isobaric specific heat capacity
  • isochoric specific heat capacity
  • Isentropic exponent
  • dynamic viscosity *(up to 1000 bar)
  • kinematic viscosity
  • Thermal conductivity *(up to 1000 bar)
  • Thermal diffusivity
