Flow Boiling of Saturated Liquids – Determination of the Flow Pattern in the Lockhart-Martinelli Diagram

The LOMA module calculates all necessary parameters according to chapter H3.4 of the VDI Wärmeatlas and determines the type of two-phase flow. The position of the present two-phase flow is entered in the flow map (Lockhart-Martinelli diagram).

With this module as a supplement, the results of VSAcan be used and the flow form in the inlet nozzle of the separator can be determined. The flow pattern has an influence on the separation efficiency. Slug flow and bubble flow should be avoided.
